You'll find Sporty Spelling in your sidebar, above Teacher Tasks.
In this section, you can add a spelling word list (up to 10 words per list for now - later we'll expand to 20).
Please wait for a few moments for the AI system to generate child-friendly definitions, which you can view/edit. Finally, give your list a title before submitting.
After that, click the '+' icon to allocate to a class.
Choose from up to nine brand new game modes, divided into Define, Recognise, and Spell.
Please note - 'Match words to pictures' works best with nouns and verbs. It can be a little harder to match conjunctions and certain adjectives (e.g. 'rough').
Also, 'Choose the right word in context' can be tricky if your list includes synonyms, since the multiple choice options will include other words from your list.
Students will receive a notification for your list of games to practise, similar to Teacher Tasks. All nine games modes are sports themed and hopefully fun to play, while students practise to improve their knowledge of your chosen vocabulary and spellings:
After they play, you can view results for each word for the whole class and individuals, to see the strengths and weaknesses:
